one roll

In days of old, before the dawn of digital photography, wedding photographers charged according to how many rolls of film were used. Both my mum and dad and Ali’s folks had only 24 photos taken by the professional photographer at their weddings and some of those were out of focus! So that’s where the name comes from - 24 photos on a roll of film, a One Roll Wedding.

Times have changed and with weddings often being smaller celebrations, you won’t need a full day of photography so our One Roll package keeps it simple.

  • 2 - 3 hours of photography

  • All of your photos edited and sent to you via a cloud within the week so you can share the love as soon as possible - trust us, you’ll get a lot more than 24 images

  • You share the copyright so you can print and send them as many times as you like

  • The One Roll package is £550

  • If your venue is more than 2 hours away from Huddersfield, there’s an additional charge of £75

  • If you get into the groove and want me to stay beyond the agreed time, it’s £150 for every additional hour

  • We ask for a £200 transferrable deposit so in the event of a postponement, we can rearrange. No worries.

the full monty

This is the package that most couples opt for because it covers everything you want and nothing you don’t.

  • A pre-wedding shoot so that you can get used to us and we can set you at ease, work out your best angles and see if we can make you smile

  • 8 hours of wedding photography with Ali and me on the big day whenever and wherever you want. We don't charge extra for a few minutes but every additional hour carries a fee of £150. It's never happened yet but you just don't know

  • At least 300 high resolution images sent to you via a cloud link so that you can download them to your own devices and clouds.

  • The copyright is jointly owned by you and RedCell Photography so you can print, photobook, distribute and share as many times as you like. We just ask that you're happy for us to use a couple of your photos for our promotional media. We never post any images before you've got them and are 100% happy

If the travel time is over 2 hours, we charge an additional fee for fuel and accommodation the night before to ensure that we don't hit any travel problems - a photographer stuck in traffic is neither use nor ornament. The cost depends on distance and available accommodation.

The Full Monty costs £1950 plus any additional fees for time or travel. We ask for a £500 transferrable deposit so if the date of your wedding needs to change, you know your booking is safe.

celebrate

Lots of people had smaller weddings when covid restrictions were in place and missed out on a big celebration as a result.

That means only one thing… some serious post-wedding celebration parties need to be photographed. Get your weddings dresses and suits out, dust ‘em down and get on that dancefloor.

The Celebrate package is nice and simple:

  • £175 per hour including all editing

  • You share the copyright so you can print and share them as many times as you like

  • For travel times over 2 hours, a flat fee of £75

  • So a 5 hour party that’s 45 minutes from Huddersfield will cost £875 and not a penny more

  • If you’re 24 hour party people, it’s gonna get pricey, but just imagine…

  • We ask for a £150 transferrable deposit so if you need to move the date, we’ll still join the party

good questions. honest answers.

  • Good question and here’s an honest answer.:

    Weddings take a lot of time to prepare, photograph and edit. We will spend at least 5 days making sure that your images are exactly what you want them to be.

    There’s also the equipment to consider - all in, we’re carrying at least £20k of kit about before you take into account the mac and hardware at home.

    But the biggest reason is us. We are both experienced professionals with skills that go way beyond simply taking photographs.

    Alison gets detail like no one else, from the hang of the dress to drinks in the background. She is always the calmest person in the room and that calm is infectious.

    Mark is a technically excellent photographer but just as importantly, a brilliant communicator. Occasionally he is funny.

  • That depends on the size of the wedding but on average we shoot 2500 frames and you will receive about 250 images.

  • Of course. They will be supplied as jpeg images sized to print at approximately 12x8” (A4 ish) or 12” square. If you need a bigger image - say for a lifesize cutout to put in the lounge - just ask.

  • Yes. But you will need another photographer as well because we can’t do both still images and film at the same time. Check out our film page to see some none wedding work.

Commercial shoots vary in price and time according to the complexity of the job. We need to have a proper chat about what you need but drop me a line and I can give you an idea of what your project might cost. We can shoot products, people and places indoors and outdoors.
