True North - Photographs from Wilder Places - Photographic Journal

£150.00

The North of Great Britain is home to some the most beautiful landscapes and wildlife in the world. This premium, hand-finished photographic journal frames a small but perfect slice of it. It's a tactile book that you'll just want to hold, thumb, read and enjoy - 56 pages of landscapes, wildlife, natural history and local knowledge.

It was a real thrill to be awarded the Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society this year so I put this book together to celebrate and to remind me that photographs are best when you can hold them in your hands.

Printed on weighty deep-matte rag paper, the images within have a texture and quality that you will want to touch and hold closer. The cover pane is gallery acrylic next to woodgrain textured fabric. Every page lies perfectly flat because the spine is stitched before the whole thing is assembled by hand. It feels like it should sit on the shelf of a grand library.

When you hold it in your hands and appreciate the number of hours that went into making it, you’ll understand the price tag.

The book measures 310mm by 210mm - slightly larger than an A4 sheet of paper.

All prices include delivery direct from the printer. 10% of profits go to Blood Cancer UK and St James’s Hospital Cancer Centre in Leeds.
